**Initial Assessment (New Students)** This first session helps me understand the student’s current level and learning needs so we can create a clear tutoring plan. AccessEd leverages IXL’s Real-Time Diagnostic to evaluate student proficiency against Illinois' State Standards in Math and English Language Arts. In just 45 minutes, we can pinpoint your child’s academic standing, offering you the choice to assess them in Math, ELA, or both. **What we’ll do:** - Discuss goals and current coursework - Complete a brief skills check (subject/grade-specific) - Identify strengths, gaps, and learning style - Set short-term goals and next steps **What to bring:** - Recent assignments, quizzes/tests, or progress notes - Any teacher feedback or curriculum details After the session, you’ll receive a summary of findings and my recommended tutoring plan (focus areas and suggested schedule).
